Sacramento boasts some of the best burgers in the state. Where you’ll find them might surprise you.

We enjoy burgers at Who’s Accounting for Taste. We’re not talking those funky fast-food things that pass for some as food, but real burgers with real beef (sometimes), real produce and fresh buns, burgers that any chef would be proud to plate.

There’s no shortage of burgers here and there’s even an annual burger battle, so, at times, the competition can be fierce.

You can start with the Kasburger at Kasbah on J. Street, as well made a beef-burger (or the impossible variety if you’d like) as you can get in town, and the unique atmosphere and terrific staff can’t be beat.
